Thirteen Middletown High School students have been selected to the 2012 Orange County Music Educators' Association's High School All-County Chorus, which will be taking place January 27-28, 2012 at the Warwick High School. The students, who are all members of the Middletown High School Chamber Singers ensemble, were required to learn a section of Antonio Vivaldi's, "Domini Fili Unigenite," and then perform for the judges as part of an acapella quartet. Gregory Bennett, high school Choral Director, said "this is both an honor and privilege for the student-musicians in my ensemble. These students have worked very hard, as well as their fellow classmates who also auditioned. So (those selected) will have the opportunity to join with some of the very best vocal musicians from across Orange County, and represent our district and our High School Music program. "I am very proud of each and every one of them," Bennett said. "For some, it was their very first time auditioning, and they rose to the occasion and scored a personal best for themselves. They gave their best, and have been rewarded for their individual and group efforts." Congratulations to the following students:
